*My intent is to report my progress and choices in managing my experiences with compulsive eating and bipolar disorder. Joy in my life is in the giving and the ability to receive.




FOOD PORTION AWARENESS

In addition to exercise, eating quality food and the avoidance of food that trigger my compulsive eating, I have found the portion of food I put on my plate is a key ingredient to my weight loss and management. My awareness of what is good for me; a portion serving of a particular food such as, protein - 3-4 oz. with each meal. In the past I would haphazardly eat 8-12 oz. or more. Awareness is the key for new beginnings.
