My daughter came into town and we had lunch in a restaurant that we both agreed smelled fishy.
This was verified when the waitress informed us that the chef's special was Mai Mai. Starting the luncheon with a good laugh was a fun way to begin our get together. Soon we were on topics from music and movie reviews to philosophy and psychology.
Listening to her goals and ideas in life were so rewarding; what really moved my heart was being with her, watching her smile, watching her calm poise, listening to her giggle when she laughed, and most of all seeing her happy as if for the very first time in my life of discovery.
